SOH Student Selected as Psaros FinPolicy Scholar

(March 10, 2025) — The Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business has selected Ahlay Hussain (H’27), an undergraduate majoring in Health Care Management & Policy at the School of Health, as a 2025 Psaros FinPolicy Scholar. The selection allows Hussain to participate in the FinPolicy Trek this May with 13 other students for a week-long immersion in activities at the intersection of finance and policy. The scholars will engage with academic leaders, industry leaders, and policymakers as they visit landmark financial institutions in Washington, D.C. and New York City. The goal is to develop students’ understanding of the intersection of public policy and the markets in order to help prepare them for successful careers, in whichever field they choose.
Hussain is minoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. On campus, Hussain serves as the Director of Fundraising for Project RISHI (Rural India Social and Health Improvement), where she leads cross-border partnerships with NGOs and organizes sustainable health initiatives in rural India. She focuses on securing funding for public health projects, particularly those addressing menstrual and nutritional wellness.
