Jack Leslie Named Chair of NIH Clinical Center Research Hospital Board

Jack Leslie (SFS ‘76), Distinguished Professor of the Practice (adjunct) in the department of Global Health and advisor to Georgetown’s Global Health Institute

(October 22, 2024) The School of Health’s, Jack Leslie (SFS ‘76), Distinguished Professor of the Practice on the adjunct track in the department of Global Health and advisor to Georgetown’s Global Health Institute, has been named the new chair of the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center Research Hospital Board (CCRHB).

The CCRHB is comprised of experts in biomedicine, healthcare administration and public health, as well as patient representatives, who advise NIH leadership on the hospital’s operations especially around safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance. 

When announcing the appointment on Oct. 9, Dr. James K. Gilman, CEO of the NIH Clinical Center described Leslie as a visionary leader dedicated to improving human health. 

“Throughout his storied career, he has been called upon by governments, non-profits, and major corporations to advise on the world’s most vexing health challenges,” Gilman said “We are fortunate and grateful to have someone with his vast experience and perspective as chair of the CCRHB.”
