Floyd Honored by Georgetown University Black Student Alliance

(May 27, 2025) — The Georgetown University Black Student Alliance selected Brian Floyd, assistant dean for academic affairs at the School of Health, as recipient of its annual Visions of Excellence Faculty/Staff Award. The award was presented at the Visions of Excellence Ball on April 26.

From one of his nominators: “Dean Floyd has been a tireless advocate for students during his time at Georgetown. Through his mentorship, advising and teaching, Dean Floyd has had a major and lasting impact on the lives of students within and outside the halls of St. Mary’s. He is an example for all students at Georgetown due to his passion and initiative. His dedication to improving the world through knowledge, service and leadership is a shining example to all Georgetown faculty and staff.”
