Carole Hemmelgarn Elected to The Leapfrog Group Board of Directors 

(September 5, 2024) — Carole Hemmelgarn, MS, MS, program director for the School of Health’s Executive Master’s program in Clinical Quality, Safety & Leadership, has been elected to the board of directors of The Leapfrog Group.

The Leapfrog Group is a national watchdog organization of employers and other purchasers focused on health care safety and quality. Hemmelgarn holds advanced degrees in patient safety leadership and health care ethics, and her contributions have been recognized by industry awards.

Hemmelgarn also serves as a member of Leapfrog’s Patient and Family Caregiver Expert Panel and is senior director of education at the MedStar Health Institute for Quality & Safety.
