A unique cross-campus collaboration between the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and Georgetown University School of Health, the Center for Global Health Policy & Politics applies a multidisciplinary approach toward addressing today’s major health challenges, from policy on HIV, COVID-19, and TB to health equity and health system accountability.

Center for Men’s Health Equity

The Center for Men’s Health Equity conducts research that helps men live healthier lives. While there is growing interest in how social and cultural factors shape men’s health, few researchers have comprehensively studied these influences. The Center for Men’s Health Equity works to fill this gap.

Initiative for Health Economics, Financing, and Outcomes

The Initiative for Health Economics, Financing, and Outcomes (IHEFO) works on pertinent and emerging issues encountered by health care systems domestically and globally, generating evidence, providing thought leadership, and engaging policy stakeholders for evidence-based decision-making processes to shape and inform health system research and implementation agenda. IHEFO concentrates on improving health financing of health systems and conducting health economic outcome research across the globe.

Global Mental Health & Well-Being Initiative

The Global Mental Health & Well-Being Initiative will pilot research, pedagogy and informed activism and advocacy on psychiatric, mental health and psychosocial issues at home and abroad. The initiative will mobilize a coalition of faculty, staff and students into a collective to work on mental health and well-being in local and global mental health research and practice.
