Suh Named President-Elect of the American College of Preventive Medicine

(February 17, 2023) — Ryung Suh, MD, MPH, MBA, MPP, associate professor of health management and policy in the School of Health, will serve as President-Elect of the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) Board of Regents. Suh’s two-year term will begin following the 2023 annual conference in New Orleans, March 20-23, before assuming the role of ACPM President in 2025. The ACPM is a professional medical society representing more than 2,000 physicians dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of individuals, families, communities and populations through disease prevention and health promotion.

“I am deeply honored to serve as President-Elect of the American College of Preventive Medicine,” said Suh. “ACPM has an important responsibility to align our member community and to build public health and health system leadership capacity to respond to our nation’s critical challenges and future public health threats. We bring our expertise in disease prevention and health promotion and a broader aperture to view things from a systems perspective. And, I am excited about ACPM’s journeys ahead.”

At Georgetown, Suh, former chair of the Department of Health Management and Policy, teaches classes on health policy, health systems administration, health care consulting, management systems, and business innovation.
