Georgetown School of Health Expands Yellow Ribbon Support for Graduate Students

(September 8, 2026) — Beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year, Georgetown University’s School of Health will offer expanded tuition support for eligible veterans and military-connected students pursuing graduate degrees through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

The Yellow Ribbon Program, a collaboration between Georgetown University and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), designed to help eligible students cover tuition and fees that exceed the amount provided through the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. For the 2026-2027 academic year, the School of Health has no annual cap on graduate-level Yellow Ribbon Program funding per student.

The expanded benefit can help make graduate education more accessible to veterans and other eligible military-connected students interested in advancing their education and careers in health.

“Those who have served our nation have made extraordinary contributions to the common good, and we have a responsibility to ensure that their commitment to service is met with meaningful opportunity,” says Christopher J. King, PhD,  MHSc, FACHE, School of Health Dean. “Expanding Yellow Ribbon support reflects our commitment to making graduate education more accessible to veterans and military-connected students. We are proud to support those who have served and to help them translate their experience, leadership and dedication to service into careers that advance health and well-being.”
