Alumna Honored Selected as Changemaker in Business

(November 4, 2025) — Carrie Rich (G’09), founder and CEO of The Global Good Fund, managing partner of the Global Impact Fund, and an alumna from the Health Systems Administration program, is one of 4 recipients of the 2025 Georgetown Baratta Center Global Impact Award.
The competitive honor, awarded by the McDonough School of Business’s Baratta Center for Global Business Education, recognizes Georgetown University alumni under the age of 40 who are advancing innovative and sustainable initiatives that strengthen communities, foster cross-border economic growth, and use their careers to drive social change.
“These exceptional young Hoyas have spent their early careers living the Spirit of Georgetown through the lens of business in fields such as impact investing, technology, sustainability, policy, and advocacy,” the business school announced.
“This year’s awardees are proof that with the combination of the right skills and values, young alumni are capable of making a meaningful, real-world impact even early in their careers,” said Anil Khurana, executive director of the Baratta Center.
Rich co-founded The Global Good Fund to support high potential entrepreneurs who are using business for good. 11.6 million lives have been positively impacted in 70+ countries, creating nearly 4,000 permanent jobs in underserved communities. She aims to positively impact 100,000,000 lives by 2030. She is the managing partner of the Global Impact Fund, a family of venture capital funds that produces market-leading financial returns by investing in social impact companies.
